Chen Zhenping

Chen Zhenping is a Falun Gong practitioner who was detained in August 2008 for "using a heretical organization to subvert the law." She is currently serving an eight-year prison sentence in Henan Provincial Women's prison. Repeated attempts by her lawyer to visit her since her imprisonment have all been blocked by the authorities. Her family has not been able to see her since March 2009. She has been subjected to regular beatings, been forcibly injected with drugs, and given electric shocks on sensitive parts of her body. Since her imprisonment, authorities have blocked visits from her lawyer, and since November 2009, they have denied information on Chen's wellbeing.

Chen Zhenping was RELEASED to Finland on October 9, 2015.
