Tenth Anniversary Celebration

Date:
Location:
2168 Rayburn House Office Building - The Gold Room

Announcement

As the Co-Chairs of the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission (TLHRC), we invite you to join us for a reception celebrating the tenth anniversary of the Commission.

Since 2008 the bipartisan TLHRC has worked to promote, defend and advocate for international human rights in complex and challenging circumstances around the world. Through dozens of hearings, briefings, statements, letters and other actions, and by taking up cases of prisoners of conscience, the Commission has sought to live up to the legacy of the late Congressman Tom Lantos and his steadfast commitment to ensure the protection and promotion of the individual, universal freedoms endowed upon every human being.

The Commission’s work over the last decade would not have been possible without the support and expertise of a broad coalition of organizations and partners. We are very grateful for their contributions to the Commission’s mission over the years and we would like to celebrate all that we have been able to accomplish together.

Please join us for refreshments as we reflect on the Commission’s successes and envision its next ten years.

To RSVP, contact Rosie Berman at Rosie.Berman@mail.house.gov.
